The official trailer for the new action-thriller Shadow Force, which sees Omar Sy and Kerry Washington starring, has hit online with all the bullets and bravado you can muster. Sy is continuing his string of action-packed titles which was first launched last year with John Woo’s remake of The Killer and his upcoming Extraction universe series Mercenary for Netflix. He is back in full throttle mode along with Kerry Washington for director Joe Carnahan’s latest. Lionsgate is readying a coveted May 2nd theatrical release which will put it head-to-head with Marvel’s Thunderbolts+ which offers no pressure at all. Check out the deadly couple channeling their inner Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibes below!
Synopsis: In SHADOW FORCE, Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy) were once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. They broke the rules by falling in love, and in order to protect their son, they go underground. With a large bounty on their heads, and the vengeful Shadow Force hot on their trail, one family’s fight becomes all-out war.
New artwork and official images have also debuted with Sy and Washington going tactical with a slew of laser sights bearing down on them. Check it out below!

Resident action director Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Copshop) helms with a cast that includes Mark Strong, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Cliff “Method Man” Smith. Carnahan has proven his action chops behind the camera with output like the aforementioned The A-Team, Copshop as well as Boss Level with the latter two starring Frank Grillo so I have some hope for this one. Carnahan also co-wrote the script with Leon Chills so he’s wearing more than one hat once again on this one.
