February is shaping up to be another solid month for fans of international action films as the latest tactical actioner titled Counterstrike is set to hit later this month. Hailing from Mexican filmmaker Chava Cartas, this bullet fest concerns five elite soldiers who must battle a ruthless drug cartel when after a hostage mission that they are involved in puts them in the crosshairs of a new enemy. Ambushed and cut off, the soldiers will have to rely on their particular skill sets to survive and put their enemy six feet under as the cartel learns in a big way that they picked the wrong fight with the wrong guys.
When a hostage rescue mission creates a new enemy, Capt. Guerrero and his elite soldiers must face an ambush by a ruthless drug cartel.
Luis Alberti, Noé Hernández, Mayra Batalla, Leonardo Alonso, Pedro Joaquín, Guillermo Nava, and David Calderón León star in the film and there is no shortage of gunfire, explosions, stunts and tactical warfare to be had in the teaser. The film sports a relentless and taut vibe with some pretty amazing looking combat sequences and close quarters altercations so I will definitely be checking this one out upon release.
Counterstrike hits Netflix on February 28th!
