International action/martial arts icon Jackie Chan is still kicking strong, and he is returning to his cop thriller roots with a new film that reunites him with his Ride On Director. Titled The Shadow’s Edge, Chan reteams with director Yang Zi 杨子 for a new hard-boiled thriller about an elite police unit battling out with a new criminal element. The film is also set to star veteran Hong Kong mainstay Tony Leung Ka-Fai as Chan’s opponent who executes a deadly game of cat and mouse with Chan and his crew.
A new teaser poster has hit the web as of last week and it certainly pops with Chan and his unit on one side of a wall and Leung and his killer crew on the other waiting to strike. I’m finally catching up on some news to bring to you so check out Chan and the cast in action below!

According to the website NDTV Movies, Chan will play a seasoned veteran of the police while Leung will portray the main villain. K-Pop superstar Jun of the hit boyband SEVENTEEN will also play a villain in the film and will be the adoptive son of Leung’s character.
The film is being “touted to be a crime thriller, the movie chronicles a fierce conflict between a malicious criminal organization and the police on a mission to pursue them.” In other words, don’t expect too much in the form of Chan’s signature skills and expect more cop action to be had but it is still great to see Chan in action and going strong.
The Shadow’s Edge is expected to hit sometime this year so be on the lookout for trailers to drop at any time.
