Of all the movies releasing in 2025, I think I’m the most excited for a returning TV series as Disney+ has resurrected the Netflix Daredevil series with Charlie Cox returning as Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again. Also back is pretty much the same cast as Vincent D’Onofrio, who’s been in other DISNEY/Marvel limited series returns as The Kingpin along with Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson who return as Karen Page and Foggy respectively. The show went through some massive retooling while in production and that was a great thing as it is more a sequel to the Netflix show as the previous iteration was. Scroll below for all the latest footage including the return of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher!
Daredevil: Born Again sees Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.

Other cast members include Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer. Dario Scardapane serves as the showrunner with episodes directed by Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman & Chris Ord, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.

There still may be some skeptics out there due to the fact that Disney is doing this now instead of Netflix but from the above trailer, I couldn’t be any more excited for it. The look, tome, savage violence and action design are all there and this looks like a legit follow up to the original series. Unfortunately, we only see the same footage of Bernthal as Castle that we did from the previous tease but that’s OK as we all know that he has now fully embraced his role of being The Punisher and he will don the skull and exterminate with extreme prejudice. Plus, the BTS images showcased Bernthal in full on Punisher tactical gear so it’s more than fine to save him for the actual series. Plus, there are ramblings that Disney has big things in store for Bernthal including his own series revival and subsequent participation in future MCU films. I only hope that this is true, but I think Disney knows a good thing when they got it, and it looks like they are embracing the full-on R rated comic material after the massive success of Deadpool & Wolverine. Please sir, may I have some more?
