I recently just mentioned in my livestream for the new Superman trailer that I didn’t think anyone else would put out a tease today, but I was wrong as Lionsgate said f@ck it and put out the final trailer for their upcoming sequel Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. I’m excited to see Gerard Butler tack up again as Big Nick and especially since he’s going rogue for this follow up but I’m pretty sure no one will be talking about this movie like a certain man from Krypton. Anyway, I digress, and this one looks hyper-kinetic, blending heist movie vibes with buddy banter and pulsating action. Check out Butler and returning co-star O’Shea Jackson Jr. in full effect below!
The final trailer gets an intro from Butler along with returning director Christian Gudegast who is also the writer and producer as well and Gudegast promises to show us a different side of the movie which they do. The new trailer drips with Michale Mann essence and this looks to pay homage to past heist flicks while bringing it into the new generation. It certainly oozes atmosphere and attitude, and our two stars look sensational together.
Synopsis: Gerard Butler (Plane, Has Fallen series) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) return in the sequel to 2018’s action-heist hit Den of Thieves. In DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA, Big Nick (Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.
