I’ve heard nothing but good things about the goriest Hindi actioner ever made, AKA Kill, as the film opened up on the 4th of July holiday but sadly was nowhere near me. I tend to not read reviews as my opinion is the only one that matters to me but it’s hard not to notice excerpts from various reviewers who have been lucky enough to see it whether it was during the festival run or the official release. I have seen all the trailers and clips, and I can convey that when I finally see it, I’m going to revel in all the insane, punishing, pulverizing and ferocity of the non-stop barrage of barbarically crafted knife duals, bloodletting and creative kills including one highly memorable one with a fire extinguisher. Oh, and then there is the man running down the aisle of a train car with his head on fire. Delicious, full throttle no mercy cinema.
With the movie now out, it will most likely hit streaming soon, but Lionsgate is teasing hardcore fans with a first look at the Steelbook that will be available at Amazon upon the film’s physical release. Redbox might be dead but physical media is holding on so peek at the cover art for Kill when it finally hits. Something tells me you’ll want to add this one to your collection.

The Steelbook will be a slipcover as well and you can bet that when you remove the cover, the blood will come with it to reveal star of the film who most likely become a new action star worldwide with this effort. Keep in mind, the special features have not been announced so the back cover will certainly include all the tasty BTS goodies that will come with it. This is bloody, savage and meaty Bollywood filmmaking without the clutter of goofy dance numbers. Just 90 minutes of Lakshya killing a horde of henchmen with blood-soaked extreme prejudice that will rival anything ever witnessed in the most horrid of horror movies. It’s essentially a horror film with full tilt boogie action design that will satisfy anyone’s movie bloodlust. I cannot wait and I will be patient so I can get the collector’s edition.
When army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.
Tanya Maniktala stars alongside Lakshya along with Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Chauhan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Adrija Sinha, Harsh Chhaya, and Parth Tiwari. Really though, who cares who’s in this movie because it’s all about the savage fight action and design that takes CQB to another level.
