After taking the weekend off for the 4th of July holiday (oh and I also worked the whole time so there’s that too), it’s been a busy Tuesday seeing a bevy of trailers released today and yesterday. I think I’ve saved the best for last as Well Go USA has launched their official trailer for the hit Hong Kong martial arts epic Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In which sees a host of Hong Kong elite stars tussling over a turf war in the infamous Walled In City of Kowloon. Watch a brand-new domestic trailer filled with all the fists and feet of fury you can handle from superstars like Louis Koo, Philip Ng, Aaron Kwok and the icon himself Sammo Hung! Oh, and there’s tier one key art to boot!
Many years after the bloody turf war that ushered in an uneasy era of peace in Hong Kong’s underworld, the notorious Kowloon Walled City serves as a fortified, lawless safe haven for gangs and refugees alike. But when a skilled underground fighter runs afoul of the most feared Triad boss in Hong Kong, a bounty is placed on his head despite his connections to the leader of the infamous enclave. As his pursuers violate the tenuous territorial truce to exact their vengeance, the fallout reignites old grudges, bringing decades of building tension to a brutal, bloody boiling point.
Soi Cheang helms with action design maestro Tanigaki Kenji creating all the bone jarring and punishing elite fight action. This one is sick, and it will satisfy even the most jaded action film fan. Raymond Lam, Terrance Lau, Tony Wu Tsz Tung, German Cheung, Richie Jen, Wong Tak Pun Kenny, Fish Liew, Chu Pak Hong, Cecilia Choi, and Lau Wai Ming round out the sensational cast.
