I must admit that I had heard of the film Angels Fallen a few years back but never got the opportunity to check it out. the concept of rebel angels waging war on earth is always intriguing and the movie did look like it contained some respectable effects and action design to satisfy on a Saturday night.
I’m going to have to check it out as a sequel is now upon us and the cast is pretty solid with Cuba Gooding, Jr., Denise Richards and MMA icon Randy Couture joining the franchise which sees Josh Burdett also starring as an Iraqi War vet about to start a whole new and unholy war which sees the fate of the whole world hanging in the balance. Filled with solid visuals and action, the trailer is now live for you to partake in, and I will be checking this one out.
ANGELS FALLEN: WARRIORS OF PEACE follows an Iraq War veteran called by a higher power, who embarks on a mission to stop a fallen angel from raising an army of the dead to take over the world.
The film is a sequel to the 2020 action horror Angels Fallen and stars Denise Richards (Starship Troopers), Josh Burdett (Loving Vincent), Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire), and UFC legend Randy Couture (The Expendables).
Director Ali Zamani, known for his work on the first installment and the horror thriller Incision, helmed the next chapter of the franchise. Featuring robust VFX and exhilarating action sequences, the film is set to captivate fans of both genre and superhero films.
Official Synopsis: Haunted by the war in Iraq, a depressed and faithless Gabriel is approached by the mysterious Balthazar, who recruits Gabriel to stop the evil Archangel Michael from raising an army of the dead to take over the world. With the help of his old platoon, Gabriel sets off to find the Warriors of Peace, their only hope in defeating Michael and his army.
This is some glossy looking indie action fair and anytime Couture is in a movie delivering a slo-mo flying elbow, I’m all in. There looks to be an abundance of both firepower and fisticuffs to please. It looks like a standalone flick so I feel that viewers can go into this one without watching the first entry, but I’ll still go back and check it out and see what it offers.
Uncork’d Entertainment is releasing the action thriller ANGELS FALLEN: WARRIORS OF PEACE On Digital and On Demand July 9.
