Action star and all-around entertainment maestro Michael Jai White is keeping busy with a horde of new projects for fans to gobble up in the future. White is known for delivering a heavy dose of gravitas, attitude, charisma and extreme action design to all his pics and now we have some more Intel on one of his upcoming actioners titled Hostile Takeover.
ComingSoon.Net has announced new cast additions that will join White in the movie which “follows Pete (White), a professional hitman, as he confronts a group of assassins after suspicions of disloyalty arise from his attendance at Workaholics Anonymous meetings.” Yes, it’s another assassin themed carnage induced hayride, but this one seems to have a little twist to the plot which bodes well. Given that we will certainly get the damaging action sequences that White is known for, this one looks to instill a little dark humor as well.
According to the website, White will star along with Sala Baker as well as Aimee Stolte. New cast additions include Dawn Olivieri (Yellowstone) as Angel, Benjamin Arce (The Flash, Nancy Drew) as Muerto, Damon Runyan (Star Trek: Discovery) as Thanatos, Kyle Bailey (Murdoch Mysteries) as Roger, Alex Mallari (The Adam Project) as Mingue, Aleks Paunovic (War for the Planet of the Apes) as Reapder, and Ana Sarem (Saturn Return) as Lilliana per ComingSoon.
Filming has commenced for Hostile Takeover, and it is currently rolling cameras at the John Hopkins Regina Soundstage in Saskatchewan, Canada. The virtual company Volume Global is the comapny behind the pic along with Karma Film, Julijette Inc., Dovetale Media, and Fun Republic Pictures. Michael Hamilton-Wright is helming the film and he also co-wrote the script along with Burton L. Warner.
Along with this film, White is also starring in the action flick Fight or Flight which sees him teaming up with another fellow action icon in Dolph Lundgren. For more Intel on that project, check out my article below!
