It’s the beginning of a new week and with it, I have a brand-new chapter of The Weekly Intel where we fast feed you some of the latest action news that was missed. It’s been very hectic for me as of late, so I apologize but this is why I do The Weekly Intel Recap, so you are informed on all the news that’s worth talking about. This week, we have action genre fave Frank Grillo joining Stallone in the 2nd season of Tulsa King, the MCU casts its Silver Surfer for The Fantastic Four, a new action-thriller called Bring the Law is announced with Mickey Rourke and more. Frank Grillo Enlists for Tulsa King Season 2 with Sly!


That’s right fanboys and fangirls, the hardest working man in action cinema is now the hardest working man in TV as Frank Grillo is set to feature in the second season of Tulsa King which stars the one and only Sylvester Stallone. In the Paramount+ hit series, Grillo will portray Bill Bevilaqua, who is a Kansas City mobster who will most likely tussle with Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. The second season is now filming as we speak and will most likely debut this fall on Paramount+.
The MCU Cast The Silver Surfer for The Fantastic Four!

The MCU has officially discovered its Silver Surfer with Julia Garner, of Ozark fame, joining the cast of The Fantastic Four as the Shalla-Bal version of the character which has been featured in the comics so before some of you cry wolf because it’s a female, do your homework and educate yourself. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach were all announced last month as the official first family of Marvel as Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, Johnny Blaze, and Ben Grimm respectively. Wandavision’s Matt Shakman is helming the pic, which will hit theaters on July 25th next summer.
The Actioner Trap House with Dave Bautista Enlists New Cast Members

Dave Bautista is hard at work with several projects in the wings and one of them, the actioner Trap House, has added additional cast members. Jack Champion, Sophia Lillis, Kate del Castillo, Bobby Cannavale, Whitney Peak, and Tony Dalton will all feature in the new film which sees Bautista as an “undercover DEA agent, who with his partner embark on a game of cat and mouse with an audacious group of thieves: their own rebellious teenagers, who have begun robbing from a dangerous cartel, using their parents’ tactics and top-secret intel to pull off their heists”. Michael Dowse, who directed Bautista’s Stuber as well as Goon, is helming the pic, which sees Hollywood icon Ridley Scott serving as one of the executive producers.
Disney Announces New Release Dates for Several Upcoming Films

CinemaCon, a huge industry event is set to kick off next week, but Disney jumped the gun by announcing new release dates for several of their most high-profile movies. The Mandalorian & Grogu, the theatrical version of the hit Disney+ Star Wars series, will now hit on May 22nd, 2026. Toy Story 5 is penciled in for June 19th, 2026, while the live-action remake of Moana starring The Rock as his animated character Maui is coming July 10, 2026. Tron: Ares is set to kick off on October 10, 2025. Keep in mind, all these dates are subject to change as we’ve seen thousands of times in the past so stay tuned.
Oscar Nominee Mickey Rourke to star in Scout Taylor Compton’s BRING THE LAW


Scout Taylor Compton makes directorial debut with BRING THE LAW; Mickey Rourke and Peter Facinelli among cast.
Production has wrapped on “Bring the Law”, an action thriller that marks the directorial debut of actress Scout Taylor Compton.
The film, hailing from Hillin Entertainment and produced by Daemon Hillin and Carolina Brasil, stars Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke, Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Nicky Whelan (The Flood), Danielle Harris (Halloween), Brendan Fehr (“Roswell”), and Leah Pipes (“The Originals”).
A grieving homicide detective is chosen to lead a task force in Los Angeles to stop a criminal organization and soon unravels a conspiracy involving corruption in his own department.
Daniel Figueiredo co-produces. Executive Producers Include: Ryan J Francis, Tyler Gallant, Jen Kaput, Josh Ridgway, Gregori J. Martin, Jordan Dykstra, Don Homsher, Jack Haldrup, Kimberly Hines and Brandon Blum.
Film Bridge International will be repping the project for world.
