Hot off the heels of filming Skyline: Warpath with fellow action star Iko Uwais, Scott Adkins isn’t taking a rest anytime soon as he is now preparing to take on Chilean martial arts powerhouse for a third time in director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza’s action-thriller Diablo. Action fans well know that Adkins and Zaror have tussled more than once onscreen in past films such as Undisputed 3: Redemption and Savage Dog with their climatic fight in Undisputed 3 being considered one of the best Western martial arts action sequences ever. There’s no denying that these two stars of action are the best in action cinema right now and if it’s not broke, certainly don’t fix as the two are ready to face off again to give the fans what they want.
Both Adkins and Zaror have taken to their social media pages to tease fans of the insane action that awaits them when Diablo is finally set upon the masses. Both men shared pre-production images online as they are currently working on the action design for the movie that is ready to start rolling cameras soon in Columbia. Check out both Adkins and Zaror in battle ready condition in the new first look images below!

In his post on Facebook, Adkins teased “some serious action design going on down here in Columbia!! You guys are not ready for what we have in store for ya!! Get ready for DIABLO.” Zaror added on his post, “You can’t imagine how brutal this is turning out, get ready because it’s coming with everything.“ Just these images and both stars promising great things is enough to wet action fans’ appetites for what is sure to be tier one extreme fight choreography with both combatants putting their bodies on the line to make the best action possible.
Zaror and director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza have collaborated multiple times on past films including 2006’s Kiltro, 2007’s Mirageman, 2009’s Mandrill, 2014’s Redeemer, and most recently, Fist of the Condor which was a selection for one of the best action films of 2023 by Action-Flix.com. Espinoza definitely knows how to make Zaror look his best when it comes to empty handed combat and Adkins will be no exception. I’m expecting a finale that will be worthy of their clash in Undisputed 3. I’m psyched as Espinoza has really established himself as someone who can make quality, hyper-kinetic action on a budget so expect plenty of fists and feet of fury on this one. Adkins and Zaror were both in the instant classic John Wick: Chapter 4 but didn’t have any screen time together.
The plot for Diablo follows Adkins as “Kris Chaney (Adkins) who, after being released from prison, embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her.” The script hails from Mat Sansom.
Adkins can now be seen in the adrenaline laced sequel One More Shot with Skyline: Warpath wrapping filming a few weeks ago. He’ll also be seen in Lights Out opposite Frank Grillo which hits theaters and digital next Friday, February 16th. Zaror will also be seen soon in Fight or Flight with Josh Hartnett as well as The Killer’s Game which also features Adkins. Dave Bautista headlines that one.
