It’s a glorious day for film bloggers everywhere as the SAG-AFTRA strike has officially ended with a new 3 year deal locked into plus. I’m probably not prepared for the flood of movie news set to come now that it’s all over but I’m going to try like hell to give you all the good stuff.
First up, we now have official and new release dates for films like Deadpool 3, Captain America 4, Thunderbolts and Blade as productions are gearing up to make up for all the lost time this year. Let’s get it rollin’ shall we!
Marvel Studios didn’t waste on second of time as they announced brand new launch dates including Deadpool 3 which will now open on July 26, 2024 instead of the previous May 3, 2024. This exact July date was already held by Captain America: Brave New World , and because of that it is now opening on February 14, 2025. Thunderbolts has moved from December 20, 2024 to July 25, 2025. The much maligned Blade which is having all kinds of issues behind the scenes is still a go however and it has shifted from February 14, 2025 to the new date of November 7, 2025 but hey it’s going to be rated R so that’s one good thing as it won’t be a lighter version of the iconic vampire hunter.
So basically this means that 2024 is officially going to suck because all the films that were supposed to hit next year won’t. We have longer waits now and that was to be expected.
