Well hell, this is a day can truly get behind as today, Friday November 3rd, is officially labeled Godzilla Day. To help celebrate, there are massive streams of the movies on various platforms, limited theatrical showings and a brand new trailer for the newest entry in TOHO’s filmography arsenal Godzilla Minus One.
Today is officially the anniversary of the 1954 release of the very first Godzilla film. To celebrate the occasion, Toho has released the new Godzilla film today which will hit Japan first. Then it will stomp into United States theaters on December 1st in a English subtitled version which is rated PG-13.
Check out the latest trailer below!
Godzilla Minus One is written and helmed by Takashi Yamazaki, which will see “an already devastated postwar Japan facing a new threat in the form of Godzilla.”
Official Synopsis: Post war Japan is at its lowest point when a new crisis emerges in the form of a giant monster, baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb.

With the King of Monsters taking on the role of anti-hero in the Monsterverse, Toho is bringing the big guy back to his villainous roots. We’ll see if he survives this one but I’m even if he doesn’t, we know he’ll be back.
Tonight, I’m going to take a break from the website, life and work and binge some of my favorite Godzilla offerings to celebrate the occasion. December 1st can’t get here fast enough and with that being 10 days from my birthday, the release is a perfect present. Enjoy the day you Godzilla faithful! You’ve earned it!!!
