Excuse me and let me apologize to Jesse V. Johnson as a trailer to a new movie of his bowed last week but I have been yet to post it. No excuses but I’ve spent the last week relocating over 1000 miles so I do have a reason for falling behind but let’s get to rectifying this pronto.
Normally known for his bullet filled crime dramas, action filmmaker and maestro Jesse V. Johnson switches gears for his latest offering and delivers one bad ass sword clanging period epic with Boudica: Queen of War. Starring the always game Olga Kurylenko, the actress stars as the titular warrior who leads her people into massive war against the Roman Empire no less. This one looks epic in every frame so check it out below if you haven’t already.
Official Synopsis: After her family is slain and her land stolen, warrior queen Boudica (Olga Kurylenko) leads a fierce rebellion against the Roman Empire, inspiring her people to fight for freedom.

Kurylenko looks simply bad to the bone in the official teaser and there is no shortage of battlefield action and heads are definitely going to roll here. I’m intrigued to see Johnson tackle something different from his usual guns n ammo actioners, which rock by the way, so seeing him take on different fight choreography is a major seeking point here.
Clive Standen, who starred in the hit TV series Vikings also stars so he’s no stranger to swinging a sword as well. Johnson has worked with Kurylenko before on the action pic White Elephants so he knows how to make her look her best in the action department. Bring on the slicing and dicing with heavy drama!
