On the heels of the first clip released for Epend4bles focusing on Jason Statham busting out his pair of classics in a bar fight, 2 more high-octane clips have been issued showing off The Stath in full on kill mode. If you thought that the inevitable showdown between Statham and Uwais wouldn’t be epic, then guess again as we got new footage of their throwdown!
In the first clip, Statham’s Lee Christmas politely asks Uwais’ Suarto for the kill switch. Unfortunately, he doesn’t and that’s when the blades come out as we get our first taste of their beatdown. Check it out below!
The choreography is killer and it has that Asian Action tinge to it which is a switch from previous fisticuffs in the franchise. Director Scott Waugh certainly knows how to utilize the skill sets of his two stars and the camera angles and editing are nicely balanced showcasing a fight that everyone wants to see.
The 2nd clip should delight fans of The Delta Force and Megaforce if you dig motorcycles with heavy weaponry as Christmas let’s loose with his fully armed attack bike complete with front loaded machine guns. It’s a lethal game of chicken below!
I’m seriously liking what I’m seeing from all these sneak peeks and The Expendables franchise is back in shape and in rare form once again. This certainly looks like Statham’s show but the ensemble cast definitely will get their chances to shine.
The all-star cast for EXPEND4BLES includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia.
A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia.

Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.
Only in Theaters September 22nd!
