On the heels of learning that Kickboxer: Armageddon is gearing up to have cameras roll in January (hopefully, if the project gets a waiver from SAG), franchise director and producer Dimitri Logothetis is also gearing up to hopefully shoot another action spec soon which is aptly titled Flying Shadow.
This report stems from the same one in Deadline which mentioned Kickboxer: Armageddon and this one is also looking to go in front of cameras this January. Like Armageddon, the script for Flying Shadow was completed well ahead of the writers’ strike but will also need a waiver to commence production as the actors’ strike is also ongoing.
Flying Shadow sounds rather cool as it “follows ex-military Black Ops secret service agent Travis Rawls and commander of Chinese private security force Ling as they work to avoid certain tragedy when the ancient legendary sword, Flying Shadow, is stolen, leaving the President’s life hanging in the balance. Logothetis and McGrath also wrote this script, with the former to produce.” Per Deadline.
Flying Shadow features David Giuntoli, best known for starring in NBC’s Grimm, as Travis Rawls with martial arts action star and veteran Streetfighter actor Mike Moh as Ling. Kickboxer Star Alain Moussi is also starring in the movie as a character named Gerd.
A teaser poster hit sometime ago which you can view below.

Moh is solid when it comes to martial arts action and was recently seen in Blade of the 47 Ronin starring opposite Mark Dacascos. Logothetis has proven himself within the genre with Kickboxer: Retaliation being one of the best western martial arts flicks in the last decade. Hopefully this one will deliver the action as well but only time will tell.
