Well you can file this under never thought was going to happen again…like ever. Never say never though as it’s been officially confirmed that Jennifer Garner is returning as the stone cold assassin Elektra for Deadpool 3 which is currently filming now with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Garner played the Marvel Comics assassin in Ben Affleck’s version of Daredevil and then went on to star in her own standalone film which tanked magnificently at the box office at the time and was panned by critics and fanboys alike. Spoiler Alert- I enjoy both Daredevil and Elektra to this day and I own the harder edged director’s cuts of both adaptations. Sue me once again. I did think that Elektra should have kept the grittier tone of Daredevil but it’s still cool to see Garner kick ass in that outfit.
It still remains to be seen just how Elektra will play into the plot of Deadpool 3, but her being in it could signify a multiverse plot. Im sure that there a millions of fans out there who are now wondering if Ben Affleck is going to suit up as Daredevil once again. His time as Batman is done so why the hell not. Charlie Cox plays the most recent version of the Man Without Fear but it would be sweet to see both in the MCU.

Hugh Jackman is, of course, returning as Wolverine and I have a sneaky suspicion that there’s going to be an all out assault of cameos for this one. Jackman was done with the role after the awesome finale that is Logan but Ryan Reynolds can be persuasive to say the least.
Deadpool 3 will see the return of Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Rob Delaney as Peter. Deadpool 3 will feature new additions including Emma Corrin, who is said to play the villain in the movie, and Matthew Macfadyen in a mystery role.
Deadpool 3 was originally set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024, but Disney delayed it to May 3, 2024. Lock ‘N’ Load right here for more Intel to come!
