Shang-Chi’s Tony Leung is back and this time he’s starring in a riveting WWII thriller titled Hidden Blade. The film is set for a Digital release on July 18th from Well Go USA and we’ve got the first look trailer and key art for you below!
During WWII, a group of courageous citizens develops a top-secret spy network to extract classified information from deep behind enemy lines in HIDDEN BLADE, the “riveting, sparse thriller with phenomenal fight scenes” (VOX) debuting on Digital July 18 from Well Go USA Entertainment.
Written and directed by the award-winning filmmaker Cheng Er (Lethal Hostage, The Wasted Times), HIDDEN BLADE stars action icon Tony LEUNG (Infernal Affairsfranchise, Hero, The Grandmaster), WANG Yibo (Born to Fly), Chengpeng DONG (City of Rock, I am Not Madame Bovary, The Thousand Faces of Dunjia), Xun ZHOU (2022’s Hero, Painted Skin, Perhaps Love), Eric WANG (Saturday Fiction, Dying to Survive), and Lei HUANG (Farewell My Concubine, Phantom of the Theatre).
Period epic gravitas is in order for the thriller that looks heavy while containing some expertly choreographed action set pieces. Definitely worth a look for fans of WWII thrillers, fans of Leung or if you just want to watch a really good war era flick.
