It’s been a long time coming. A loooooong time. I’m not gonna lie, I’ll probably shed a tear of excitement when I finally watch this and it looks like they are pulling no punches. Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and company are finally back in the fourth highly anticipated entry in the Expendables franchise. Cleverly titled Expend4bles, director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor, Need for Speed) looks to be bringing the action icon films back where they belong. From bullet infused action set pieces, to blistering and bone shattering hand to hand sequences, the boys are back in town and it’s now time to watch the trailer in all its machismo glory! Boom Lay Boom motherfuckers!!!
Official Synopsis: A new generation of stars joins the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in The Expendables 4.
Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Iwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.
Where do I fucking start. I’m sorry, I usually don’t get foul mouthed in my articles but I am jacked up to a whole new level. John Wick move over because we have Statham taking on Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa.
I remember when I saw the trailer for the first one all those years ago. To see all these great action stars in one film and to hear Shinedown’s blistering song Diamond Eyes blast in the background it was an action lover dream come true. Sue me as well as it delivered everything I wanted from this kind of movie. I feel that so many people set the bar way too fucking high on it and that’s why it disappointed to a degree. Not in my eyes.
The fourth one is definitely going to raise the stakes and it’s going to be R rated and the set pieces will undoubtedly be spectacular with a mixture of fisticuffs and firepower and it looks like each cast member is going to get their hell yeah moment.

We all know that Sly is stepping down after this one with his right-hand man The Stath taking over for the future. It’ll be interesting to see how it’s handled but I’m sure it’ll be done with respect.

The Expend4bles stars returning franchise members Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture.
