We have new release info for the Ana de Armas led John Wick spin-off Ballerina as the highly anticipated actioner will launch on June 7th of 2024! The film will have guest spots by Keanu Reeves as well as Ian McShane and the late, great Lance Reddick who sadly passed away right before Chapter 4 came out.
Official Synopsis:
The world of John Wick expands with Ballerina, as Ana de Armas stars as an assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma.
Ballerina was directed by Len Wiseman from a screenplay written by Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and is being overseen by James Myers for Lionsgate. The movie also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus. The spin-off was produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Keanu Reeves, and Chad Stahelski via the 87North production banner.

Ana de Armis has been proving her action cred lately with a stellar turn in the last 007 film No Time to Die. With 87Eleven Action Design Vs king her up along with the folks that made John Wick, I’m sure she’ll look phenomenal in the many action sequences that the movie will contain. The question is if this film will be of the caliber of its big brother franchise. We shall see next summer or when a trailer finally hits.
The John Wick films are taking a much needed vacation after the fourth film so it’ll be interesting to see how the film Ballerina as well The Continental spin-off series holds fans’ interest in the meantime. The universe has many options with many wanting a Cane film starring Donnie Yen as well as a Mr. Nobody movie as that character was a solid addition in the last movie. I’m personally open to anything John Wick related seeing as this franchise rejuvenated the action film.
Lock ‘N’ Load because we are your destination for everything action and the John Wick Cinematic Universe!!!
