UPDATE: The trailer for The Wrath of Becky has finally emerged in all its teen angst glory. Blood will flow and Becky is about to take on more than a simple home invasion this time around. The stakes are higher and the blood is going to blow freely in the follow up to the surprise hit original!

(Original Post) Hey, who remembers the time when newcomer LuLu Wilson, sporting an awesome orange colored knitted winter hat, took on an uncharacteristic Kevin James in the bloody Home Alone style thriller Becky? Well if you don’t, check out my Action-Flix Approved review here if you’re thinking of finally checking out the movie that turns batshit crazy.

Well, Wilson is back as the knife wielding anti-hero Becky in the follow up The Wrath of Becky and this time she’s taking on what will probably be an uncharacteristic Sean William Scott for blood soaked bragging rights.

A new key art one sheet has dropped showing off Wilson in all her depraved glory and yes she’s holding a knife of course as she takes on a new threat with even more dangerous repercussions.

Official Synopsis:

After living off the grid for two years, Becky finds herself going toe to toe against Darryl, the leader of a fascist organization, on the eve of an organized attack.

Along with Wilson and Scott, the sequel also features Matt Angel (The Funhouse Massacre), Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), Aaron Dalla Villa (Hayride to Hell), Michael Sirow (Wrong Place), Gabriella Piazza (The Many Saints of Newark), John D. Hickman (The Last Full Measure), Denise Burse-Fernandez (Vacation Friends), Jill Larson (The Taking of Deborah Logan), Kate Siegel (Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House), and Alison Cimmet (The Big Sick).

Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion helmed the first film but this time it’s Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote and directing from a script they also co-penned.

No release info is available yet but with the poster reveal, hopefully one will surface along with a tasty trailer.
