We’ve got some casting news for you today and it stars someone who usually plays a heel in action cinema so it’s cool to see him finally get a leading anti-hero role. Theo Rossi was most recently seen in Vendetta which was helmed by The Horde’s Jared Cohn and now they are reuniting for the hard hitting Tubi original actioner The Getback. To sweeten the news, the film comes from ace action scribe Chad Law who co-wrote the film and recently released the genre pleasing Section 8 late last year.

Los Angeles, California: Theo Rossi, known for his role in Roadside/Vertical hit Emily the Criminal, for which he was nominated an Independent Spirit Award, will star in The Getback for director Jared Cohn.
Written by Chad Law & Gerry Charles, pic tells of a hard-living bounty hunter that finds and captures a dangerous yet wise-ass criminal, but the two working together to evade the crooked cops and mercenaries trying to kill them both is the hard part.
Demetrius Stear, Ace Kohn, Carolina Brasil, and Chadwick Struck produce. Daniel Figueiredo, Ryan Francis, Richard Switzer, Ian Niles, and Chad Law serve as Executive Producers.

Tubi, who plans to air the film mid-year, is handling domestic rights with Mutiny Films retaining International.
The film is the first of a 4-picture deal between Mutiny and Tubi. The deal was negotiated by Producer Demetrius Stear.
Production recently wrapped on the film in Mississippi.
Rossi, whose other credits include TV’s “Sons of Anarchy”, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Deadand the upcoming Carry On with Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton, is repped by Paradigm, Management 360 and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
