We are just about six weeks to go until we finally get to see the sequel to James Cameron’s hit film Avatar and 20th Century Studios has given us a brand new and longer look at the return to Pandora. Titled Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel promises even more eye dropping 3D special effects that will top the original. Check out the new footage and key art below!
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Returning from the first film are Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver. It’s been 13 years since the original came out, but I think it’ll be worth the wait and the trailer probably doesn’t do the film that we will see in theaters justice.
Avatar: The Way of Water hits theaters this Christmas on December 16th!
