SHRAPNEL: It’s Time to Go to War for Family with New Retro Key Art for the William Kaufman Helmed Actioner Starring Jason Patric & Cam Gigandet!

I’m feeling a little nostalgic for the 80’s and 90’s after the year I’ve been having and this new key art is right up my alley.

The William Kaufman helmed action-thriller Shrapnel has just launched same retro grade key art today which showcases stars Jason Patric and Cam Gigandet in all their 80’s awesomeness. Patric stars as an ordinary rancher with extraordinary military skills who goes on a kill mission of vengeance with a fellow comrade played by Gigandet when his daughter goes missing in Mexico. Check out the retro action vibes of the new key art below!

Premiere Entertainment Group (PEG), a Los Angeles-based sales, production and financing company, has announced that Jason Patric (Sleepers,Narc) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight, The Magnificent Seven) have signed on to star in action thriller SHRAPNEL which recently began principal photography.

Patric will play a rancher who crosses the border in search of his missing daughter who mysteriously vanishes during a trip to Mexico with her best friend. He decides to take matters into his own hands, with the help of a former Marine buddy (Gigandet), after the local authorities provide little help and he discovers that they are in cahoots with the dangerous cartel behind his daughter’s disappearance.

William Kaufman (The Hit List, Jarhead 3) is directing from an original screenplay by Chad Law and Johnny Walters.

The south of the border action pic is currently in post-production and will be released in 2023 courtesy of Saban Films.

“We are thrilled to have Jason join the project,” said Premiere CEO Elias Axume. “He’s a terrific actor with wide range who will elevate the film, which we hope will become a breakout hit.”

Unfortunately, we have a wait in our hands as this one isn’t set to hit until next year but you can bet that I’ll keep you all posted with upcoming news and footage for Shrapnel when it hits.

Given Kaufman’s track record with past genre favorites including Sinners and Saints, Daylight’s End and Jarhead 3: The Siege, fans can expect a massive body county and countless rounds of ammo spent before the credits roll on this on.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond.
