PREY: Something Wicked is Waiting on New Key Art for Hulu’s Upcoming PREDATOR Franchise Thriller!

I’ve been absent as of late (long story) and I’m slowly getting my mojo back as these last two weeks have hit me over the head like a blunt force object. Not to mention that I’m behind on my reviews and podcasts so bare with me as I piece things back together. Isn’t funny how life has other plans for you when stuff actually starts to go your way?

Well, one thing of note is that Hulu and 20th Century Studios has unleashed some rather gnarly new key art for its upcoming Predator franchise themed film Prey. This one is certainly on my highly anticipated watch list and it’ll be interesting to see if this one can jumpstart the franchise after the lackluster previous entries. Taking the series back in time to it’s savage riots is definitely a unique way to do it so we’ll see how it all plays out on August 5th when it hits the streaming platform.

Check out the rad new one sheet which highlights a very barbaric looking take on the intergalactic trophy hunter below!

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

Prey stars Amber Midthunder (“The Ice Road,” “Roswell, New Mexico”), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp(“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”), and Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”).

Helmed by 10 Cloverfield Lane’s Dan Trachtenberg, this time around, it’s a fierce female Commanche warrior who will do bloody combat with the intergalactic trophy hunter.

The trailers are more enticing and even the most stalwart fan who has lost faith in this franchise will see something positive to take away from this fresh take on the franchise. Seeing the iconic laser sight appear on the forehead of the one Comanche warrior is a stroke of genius and to hear the iconic sound made by the Predator is a welcome one. Not to mention the Predator taking out a massive grizzly bear in epic fashion.

This one resonates with the first film when Schwarzenegger’s Dutch goes all primeval to take on the alien hunter. There’s a definite and strong vibe which might hit the nostalgia button for many.
