YEAR 2: A New Image Highlights a Menacing Practical Effects Werewolf Destroying a City Street!

Frank Grillo can do no wrong in my book. Put the man in a movie like a ninja and he’ll automatically make that pic better, even if it sucks.

Grillo is currently filming the werewolf themed action-horror film Year 2 which sounds downright bloody awesome and now we have our first look at one of the creatures which is being done via practical effect rather than CGI which is the definitive, throwback way to do if you ask me. Check it out below!

There’s an even better shot circulating right now which enlarges the Lycan and it looks big, bad and vicious. I love the fact director Steven C. Miller and company are doing it old school as it harkens back to the days of old with films like The Howling and American Werewolf in London. I’m all for anything old school mixed with kick ass so sign me up for this one ASAP.

Magnified Screen Shot

In Year 2, which is being described as The Purge with werewolves which just sounds ultra-badass, tells the story of a super moon that turns all who enter its light into a werewolf. Grillo will undoubtedly be the one to stop the bloodshed and chaos and here’s hoping he takes on as many as possible like he did with the aliens in Beyond Skyline.

Also starring with Grillo are Katrina Law, Lou Diamond Phillips and Johnathon Schaech.

Unfortunately, Year 2 is currently in the middle of principal photography so we have a wait for this one but keep it locked and loaded right here for more details to follow as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
