All-out war that’s what. that’s the brutal premise for Saban Films’ latest action-thriller Land of Wolves that looks to combine military tactical action with savage MMA combat for a film that looks to satisfy genre fans upon its release. Think Land of Bad mixed with Warrior and you get the idea. A new trailer has just dropped which showcases the visceral and unforgiving action films and we have it for you below!
When a covert rescue mission goes south, four elite Navy Seals are captured and thrown into an underground deathmatch. Watched by depraved billionaires, they are forced to fight in a brutal, illegal tournament. With no weapons and no way out, they must rely on their training and unbreakable bond to not only survive the bloody arena but to dismantle the entire operation and reclaim their freedom.
Tommy Jackson writes and directs while producing alongside Ivana Cipurko. The cast features James William Clark, Matthew Gray, Felix Alexander, and Russell Shealy. Saban Films is releasing the film on Digital and On Demand this June and this one looks to push indie action cinema to the extreme.
TRAILER REACTION: Land of Wolves looks to blend the best of both worlds as we get military action embedded with ferocious MMA style hand to hand combat for a visceral and stripped-down viewing experience. This one is not for the faint of heart, and the grounded action and fight design looks tailor made for audiences looking to watch some blood drenched action with practical action design and unflinching human drama that evokes brotherhood, bravado and bravery with a little ground and pund on a grand scale. This may have had a limited budget, but it looks like they made the best of it with blood, sweat and tears so this one looks right up my alley as it merges tow of my favorite action tropes.
