BLACK SITE: It’s Do or Die for Two Surviving Spec Ops Soldiers in the Trailer for the Upcoming Action Short from Indie Filmmaker Johnny Balazs!

By: John M Jerva

Filmmaker Johnny Balazs has certainly been a trend setter in the indie film circuit over the last few years having dished out some top tier projects like the action short Night Shift (see my review here) as well as the full-length feature Rage which starred action maestro Richard Norton in a different kind of role then we’re used to seeing him in. Balasz isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of creative filmmaking and he is definitely one to watch in the feature for genre fans looking to scratch an itch for entertainment that doesn’t necessarily follow the norm.

Balazs is back with a big bang with his ambitious new action short film titled Black Site and judging from the new trailer that just went live today, this short film is looking to lock and load and pack a definitive punch in a short amount of running time. Centering on two special operatives who are really having a bad day, Black Site tells the story of a mission to secure a vaccine that goes horribly awry leading to a do or die mission of survival. Check out the new teaser below along with key art and images from the upcoming high-octane flick that’ll satisfy your urge for fisticuffs and firepower!

Official Synopsis: Two remaining members of a special ops team must survive being hunted by Russian soldiers in order to make it to an extraction point. The mission, steal a vaccine that’s been withheld from the rest of the world.

The above teaser clocks in at a mere 59 seconds in length but it’s enough to wet appetites as Balazs treats us to numerous sequences of brutal, stripped-down brawls including bodies and heads going through walls along with teases of bullet riddled action set pieces. The cast looks like a true A Team and they consist of Matt Theo, Amelie Mendoza, Marcus Merkoski, Zoran Bravo and Cassie Dart.

Balazs not only directs but also penned the script for the short along with executive producing, serving as fight choreographer along with Clint Harris and editing the final product. Black Site is looking like it should be remade into a feature length action spectacle from the footage shown here and I’ll be one champion for that cause. Be on the lookout for my complete review of this one coming in the future.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more details to come on Black Site as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond. Accept no substitutes!
