Director Louis Leterrier Replaces Justin Lin for FAST X

By: John M Jerva

Fast X has found its director to replace Justin Lin who stepped down last week. Lin’s replacement is no stranger to speed as the man behind the chaos of the next film will be Louis Leterrier who is best known for helming The Transporter films with Jason Statham. Leterrier has also directed the MCU’s The Incredible Hulk as well as Unleashed with Jet Li so he definitely has some action cred.

The announcement comes with a little behind the scenes drama as The NY Daily News has reported a potential reason for Lin stepping down. If this is true, then Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s beef with franchise star Vin Diesel looks credible.

According to the site, it’s been stated that Lin had issues working with Diesel.

“ Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn’t know his lines. And he shows up out of shape,” a source close to the production stated.

We all know that Johnson bowed out of the Fast films citing the fact that Diesel was unprofessional. It’s starting to look like he was on yo something.

Leterrier has his work cut out for him as he joins the production as it’s already underway with all other creative aspects of the production firmly in place.

Fast X stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, and Jason Momoa as well as Charlize Theron. Momoa is playing the new antagonistic role for this entry. Hopefully Statham will show up as he was teased at the end of F9 and he has a well established working relationship with Leterrier.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more Fast X news to follow as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
