I’ve posted several teasers in the past for the Hindi action pic Attack which, from the looks of the previous first look footage, looks to defy all logic as well as gravity and any sense of “what the hell did I just see?” John Abraham has the distinct pleasure of headlining the film which hails from director Lakshya Raj Anand. If you are so inclined you can check out the previous posts for the film here, and here. OK let’s move on.
The movie which is now referred to as Attack: Part 1 (which means we’re definitely getting more of these) is set for a domestic India release on April 1st, which happens to be April Fools Day (not sure if that’s a coincidence) so a brand new and official trailer has launched along with adrenaline thumping key art which displays Abraham front and center as he screams while unloading a massive salvo with dual machine guns. You’ll also notice an attack chopper in the foreground which is a law I think while developing key art for an action flick. Another poster has Abraham looking solidly cool as he rides a motorcycle. Yet a third poster has Abraham just looking all kinds of bad ass.
Check out all the jaw dropping goodness below and we can only pray that this film makes it over to North America because I need me some over the top, balls out, Hindi action greatness.
Making her directorial debut with Attack is Lakshya Raj Anand with Abraham serving as producer so it’ll be interesting to see how this one turns out with a newcomer at the helm. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Prakash Raj and reports are saying that this one is looking to set up a massive action franchise.
Don’t let anyone ever tell you that Bollywood doesn’t make a good action pic. Aside from the dance numbers which are either additions or distractions based on your preference, India has delivered some of the most insane high-octane rounds of adrenaline this side of the ocean.
After some delays due to COVID of course, Attack: Part 1 is finally ready to wage war on April 1st!
