With the series finally set to debut next month, Paramount+ is ramping up the advertising train for the highly anticipated Halo. Based on the bestselling video game of the same name, Pablo Schreiber stars as the iconic Master Chief who’s “Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.”
New character poster has debuted today that focus on some of the other cast members in the show other than Schreiber which include Natasha McElhone who plays Dr. Halsey, “the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers.” Also starring is Bokeem Woodbine as Soren who’s “a morally complex privateer at the fringes of human civilization whose fate will bring him into conflict with his former military masters and his old friend, the Master Chief.” Rounding out the new posters is newcomer Yerin Ha as Kwan, “a shrewd, audacious 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief at a fateful time for them both.”
Check out the three new posters in the gallery below!
Additional cast members include Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani. Jen Taylor also is featured as Cortana who is “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race”.
I’m a casual player of the video games but I’m all for a new sci-fi action series so this one looks like it’ll have a nice polished theatrical look to it. I’m eager to see how the special effects are as well as the action set pieces which look to emulate the game and also do something different.
Paramount has high hopes for the series as it was recently announced that it has already received a second season order well ahead of the inaugural premiere.
Halo hits March 24, 2022 on Paramount+.
