BLACK CRAB: Noomi Rapace Navigates a Harsh Apocalyptic World in the New Trailer for the Netflix Action Film

By: John M Jerva

Netflix is keeping busy and today they’ve dropped a new trailer and key art for their bleak, apocalyptic thriller Black Crab. The Action pic stars the always game Noomi Rapace who is searching for her daughter in a barren and frozen world where war is waged on the ice and snow.

Official Synopsis: The Swedish action thriller is set in a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by war. During a long, harsh winter, six soldiers embark on a covert mission across a frozen archipelago, risking their lives to transport a mysterious package that could end the war. As they enter hostile enemy territory, they have no idea what dangers lie ahead or who—if anyone—they can trust. But for speed skater turned soldier Caroline Edh, the mission is about something else entirely.

The trailer is locked and loaded with exhilarating footage of the film’s action set pieces and Rapace is clearly battle ready once again. The actress has been doing a string of adrenaline-fueled pictures with the previous Netflix films Close and What Happened to Monday being the most recent.

Black Crab was helmed by Adam Berg from a screenplay he co-wrote with Pelle Rådström which comes from Swedish author Jerker Virdborg’s novel of the same name. Joining Rapace in the movie are Jakob Oftebro, Erik Enge, Dar Salim, Ardalan Esmaili, Aliette Opheim, and David Dencik.

Black Crab hits Netflix on March 18th!
