YEAR 2: Frank Grillo Enlists for Director Steven C. Miller’s Werewolf Armageddon Thriller!

By: John M Jerva

Frank Grillo is unquestionably one of my favorite all time actors in action or any other genre for that matter. Grillo is solid in anything and even if the film is suspect, Grillo always elevates the material with his sheer presence. The man just radiates gravitas and a refreshing no shit, take ‘em all out attitude.

Grillo is also one of the hardest working actors today and will be seen in the upcoming actioners A Day to Die as well as Lights Out with Scott Adkins which just recently wrapped filming.

Frank Grillo gets ready to blast away in a scene from Boss Level

We have some buzz on another Frank Grillo joint and the best way I can explain it is that it’s Werewolf Armageddon. How’s that for a sales pitch.

The film is called Year 2 and it fails from director Steven C. Miller. Miller is best known for helming some of the recent Bruce Willis DTV fair like Extraction, Marauders and First Kill. He’s also directed Arsenal, Escape Plan 2: Hades, and Line of Duty so the man is no stranger to action flicks.

Solution, which is an international sales and financing company is presenting the film at this year’s EFM and we’ve got the official synopsis for you below!

Year 2 tells the story of the return of a supermoon which, on its last appearance a year earlier, turned anybody touched by moonlight into a werewolf and led to nearly one billion deaths.

Sounds like a pretty kick ass werewolf plot to me and I wouldn’t mind seeing Grillo go up against some fury super beasts.

It’s also being described as The Purge with werewolves (Bloody Disgusting) so there’s one more enticing description for you.

That’s all the 411 we have for you at the moment so be sure to keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
