They may be sibling adversaries on the hit series See but Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista are next set to headline a buddy cop movie. Bautista first tweeted the idea last week and Momoa has since confirmed it while appearing The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“I’m not even gonna lie to you… I’m not on Twitter, but he literally texted me about four days ago, going, ‘We need to do a buddy cop film,’” Momoa stated on the show. “We love each other — we met on the series See, we’re in Dune together, and so I said, ‘Absolutely.’ And he said, ‘Let’s do it in Hawaii.’ I’m like, do it, I’ve got an idea. So it’s off to the races now, we’re doing it.”

The cop action flick is said to be in the same vein as the iconic Lethal Weapon films. Momoa also mentioned that they are currently developing the film which will potentially take place in Hawaii.
Momoa and Bautista teaming up for a buddy cop action film which will no doubt have a lot of humor and choice lines zinging between the two sounds like gold and I’m on board.
Momoa and Bautista will be seen in two Sci-Fi related projects with the first being the Apple TV+’s See which debuts it’s second season this Friday and also the long awaited and highly anticipated Dune which hits Theaters and HBOMAX on October 22nd.
