UPDATE: Sony Pictures has announced that the long delayed Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be delayed once again. Although this one isn’t as bad as the sequel will now hit a month later on October 15th.

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with the first Venom film starring Tom Hardy as I felt it showed promise but fizzled in the finale. Hopefully, I’ll like the sequel more and with Carnage making his grand debut, maybe this time I’ll enjoy the whole meal. Check out the trailer for the anticipated sequel below!

Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of MARVEL’s greatest and most complex characters. Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage. What’s also promising is that genre favorite in front of and behind the camera Andy Serkis helmed this time around and I feel he has more understanding of the source material. The new footage looks insane and rad so here’s hoping.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage opens in theaters on September 24th!
