DON’T BREATHE 2: Stephen Lang is Back with a Vengeance as New Key Art and Trailer Hits for the Horror Follow-Up!

By: John M Jerva

The first Don’t Breathe was a chilling horror-thriller with Stephen Lang playing a pretty vile character who is anything but noble. A sequel is on its way and this time it looks like Lang’s The Blind Man is coming back with a vengeance and turning into an anti-hero or anti-villain as the case may be which bodes really interesting. Check out the new key art and trailer below!

Don’t Breathe 2 takes place several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace… until his past sins catch up to him.

The Blind Man has been hiding out for years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a house fire. Their quiet existence is shattered when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her.

Some people are not comfortable with the synopsis as the Blind Man was a pretty heinous chat in the original but director Rodo Sayagues who could-wrote the screenplay with Fede Alvarez promises that Lang is not a good guy. Interesting indeed. I think it’s a good idea just like Scott Adkins’ Boyka turned into an anti-hero after Undisputed 2.

Stephen Lang is a film treasure and his profound gravitas elevates any movie he is in. I’ve been a fan since Band of the Hand back in the 80’s and when Lang’s name is attached, genre fans are always in for a chaotic and mesmerizing treat.

Lang stars along with Adam Young, Bobby Schofield, Rocci Williams, and Madelyn Grace.

See below and make up your own mind as Don’t Breathe 2 is set to hit theaters on August 13th.
