JADE: Mark Dacascos & Mickey Rourke Join Shaina West for Stuntman/Director James Bamford’s Upcoming Action-Thriller!

We have another stuntman turned filmmaker to add to the mix in James Bamford and he’ll be helming a new project called Jade. The film star last Shaina West in the lead for the film which will be brought to Cannes via the Hong Kong, Paris, Los Angeles based All Rights Entertainment.

The big news coming out of the Film Market is that action and martial arts and action film legend Mark Dacascos has joined the film along with genre staple Mickey Rourke.

Per Variety: “Jade” presents the story of a woman who comes between a powerful businessman and a gang leader in their search for a hard drive that could damage the operations of Interpol. Despite grieving for the brother she accidentally killed, the woman is required to use her unique set of skills to retrieve the drive and protect her brother’s unborn child being carried by another woman.

West is a top stunt performer in the industry as well as a martial artist. She will be next seen in Black Widow as a assassin along with Scarlett Johansson.

Dacascos will play an ally to West’s character while Rourke will be on villain duties once again.

This will be the directorial debut of Bamford who is a stunt pro turned producer and director. He worked at Warner Bros. on such projects like Blade: Trinity, Aliens VS Predator as well as the TV shows Arrow, Supergirl and most recently Superman and Lois.
