Here’s a new thriller for you that looks pretty interesting and it’s based on a full motion video game no less. I have to admit that I know little about the game but judging from the trailer, the film adaptation looks pretty intense and should offer up some thrills for it’s appropriate genre niche audience.

The film is called The Complex: Lockdown and it hails from director Paul Raschid which centers on two scientists who are caught between a rock and a hard place when a major bio-weapon attack hits London and as they toil with wether to save a suspected terrorist’s life, a group of highly trained assassins infiltrate their complex looking for the HVT.

A new trailer has just dropped ahead of its October 13th release on Digital so check out the intensity below!

SYNOPSIS: After a major bio-weapon attack on London, two scientists debate whether to save a suspected terrorist’s life. However, assassins have infiltrated the building and soon our scientists find themselves with time, and options, running out.

ABOUT THE COMPLEX: THE COMPLEX is an interactive sci-fi thriller full-motion video game (FMV) that was released worldwide through PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on March 31, 2020. It offers multi-optional storytelling with eight different outcomes, real-time Relationship Status Tracking that influences the story as you play, and real-time Personality Trait Tracking that evolves based on your choices. THE COMPLEX: LOCKDOWN combines the most gripping scenarios from the game into one mind-bending narrative film.

The film stars Michelle Mylett (Letterkenny, Bad Blood), Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones, The Witch) and Al Weaver (Colette, Peterloo). Lynn Renee Maxcy, who is best known for The Handmaid’s Tale, penned the script.

Once again, Digital and VOD films in the independent film market are picking up the snack as most of all the major blockbusters have been delayed due to the pandemic so audiences can still get some new content in their own homes for now.

The Complex: Lockdown will hit Digital HD this October 13th so check out the new trailer below!
