Hollywood Star and new action film hero Chris Hemsworth took some time out of his workout to film a special video thanking fans for making Extraction the massive hit it has become. With theaters closed, it’s safe to say that the action pic from The Russo Brothers and first time director and stuntman bad ass Sam Hargrave is the most successful film in the world right now.

Hemsworth posted the video on his official Instagram page and said that he was blown away by the succcess of the film. Check out the post below!

Along with the big thank you, Hemsworth also took it upon himself to chat about all the prequel/sequel talk that has been buzzing the web as of late. All Hemsworth said was “who knows” but with the success he did say that it is something that he would be pretty stoked to jump back into the world of Tyler Rake. He also said that the response to the film was “mind blowing” and hopefully with the huge hit it has become, we will get another film.

*Spoilers Ahead* We already talked about the ambiguous ending of the film which pretty much leaves it up to the audience to determine whether or not Rake was still alive. I For one would like to think so but even if he didn’t, I would welcome a prequel that shows Rake on another mission. We will just have to be patient and see what transpired but I think chances of another film are pretty damn good.

The God of Thunder also posted another Instagram image that mentions the film’s success which you can check out below as well.

If you haven’t seen the film yet, then get a move on! It kicks major ass! The plot centers on “Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) who is a fearless black-market mercenary with nothing left to lose. His skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned crime lord but in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible as the lives of Rake and the boy he is sent to rescue are altered forever.”

This film is now within my top 5 favorite action films and is certainly the best one I’ve seen this year. I know that’s not saying a lot seeing that there hasn’t been a lot to cheer about this year but it probably still would be even if things were normal. If anything, Hemsworth seems like one great guy and that’s always a good thing.
