Action star Scott Adkins is back and he’s making the most of his time in isolation as filming has stopped on his latest action film Castle Falls. Adkins posted a video on social media this week where he began to countdown his top 5 favorite films that he has ever done up to this point.

Number 5 was Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear and Adkins shared some great personal insight into filming that movie which is considered one of the best Western fight flicks this decade.

Adkins is back with his number 4 pick which is the you love it or hate it Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning which saw Scott reunite with action icons Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. The film can be best described best as a bone crunching, blood splattered fever dream with Adkins playing a man who suffers a tragic event only to learn that there are numerous conspiracies at play which involve JCVD’s Luc Deveraux and Lundgren’s Andrew Scott from the original flick.

The film takes a while to get going but once it goes, genre fans are treated to some of the best action on screen including a massive fight with MMA fighting phenom Andre “The Putbull” Arlovski which takes place in a sporting goods store followed by a finale that is a master class in action as Adkins cuts his way through a gauntlet of UniSols. The scene is shot with one take and no edits or a “oner” as it is called and it really is something to see.

In the video below, Adkins serves up more behind the scenes goodies for fans which consists of Adkins admitting that it’s a mixed bag for fans which he fully understands but he considers it his best film that he has ever done. The video runs just over 10 minutes long and it’s a must listen for any serious fan.

I, for one, love it and do believe that it’s some of his best work dramatic and action wise with a truly interesting take on the franchise.

Take a peek at the video below and listen to what Adkins has to say on the film! Stay tuned for Scott’s number 3 pick and enjoy! Stay safe and be well!
