Formerly known as Dhaka, Netflix has unleashed some new images from Chris Hemsworth’s new action-thriller now called Extraction. The film has the MCU star as a mercenary who has nothing to lose as he sets out to rescue a young boy. The Russo Brothers produced the film and you can check out the images below!

Official Synopsis: Extraction (formerly titled as Dhaka) takes place in an underworld of weapons dealers and traffickers, and follows a young boy becomes the pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. After being trapped by kidnappers inside one of the world’s most impenetrable cities, his rescue beckons the unparalleled skill of a mercenary named Tyler Rake. But Rake is a broken man with nothing to lose, harboring a death wish that makes an already deadly mission near impossible.

Hemsworth stars along with The David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow), Derek Luke (13 Reasons Why), Fay Masterson (Vice), Golshifteh Farahani (Paterson) and Rudhraksh Jaiswal in his first role.

Joe Russo wrote the script with veteran MCU stunt professional Sam Hargrave making his directorial debut. Hargrave served as a stunt coordinator and second unit director on Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame which also starred Hemsworth. Hargrave is an alum of the illustrious 87Eleven Action Design team which have dished out countless high-octane action films such as the John Wick franchise.

Hemsworth was solid in the true life military flick 12 Strong so he should excel in this role and definitely looks the part of a hardened operator.

Extraction unloads on a Netflix on April 24th so expect a trailer and poster to drop anytime. check out some behind the scenes pics below!
