Hong Kong action cinema is most notably known for its blistering gun and martial arts laden action pics that feature ballistic and high-octane action set pieces but what they also do well is the disaster flick which never shuts away from the dramatics and hero induced theatrics and one current box office hit is set to hit Digital here in North America this January courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Titled The Bravest, the film was helmed by Tony Chan from a script written by Chan as well as Yu Yonggan and it features a cast that includes Xiaoming Huang (The Message), Jiang Du (Operation Red Sea), Zhuo Tan (Dying to Survive), also starring Zi Yang (Ode to Joy) and Hao Ou (The Left Ear).

Official Synopsis: When the oil pipeline in the city harbor explodes due to a calculation error, a disgraced Chief Firefighter must put the past aside and team up with his former rookie in order to save the city.
A Chinese domestic trailer dropped during the film’s release overseas as well which features all the peril and heroism that one can handle in one monumental disaster flick so check it out on January 14th when it hits all Digital Platforms!
