When one door closes, other multiple doors open and with the exit of Stephen Amell in ARROW, The CW has filled the void with BATWOMAN and according to Deadline, another iconic superhero will be running the prime time skies as it has been announced that they are doing a new SUPERMAN AND LOIS TV series which will feature both Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch who have been playing the iconic roles for a while now in other DC shows like SUPERGIRL. That’s right folks! Superman is coming full time to our screens so if we can’t get a big screen version this’ll do just fine!

Per Deadline: “The CW’s DC universe is eying another major expansion with Superman & Lois, a present-day drama based on the DC characters, starring Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlinand Elizabeth Tulloch as the iconic couple. The hourlong project, now in development, hails from The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, DC Universe architect Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV, where Helbing and Berlanti are under deals.”

With Arrow ending and other shows like THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW reaching their limits in the future, The CW is stepping up with their new DC content with this show and a spin-off of ARROW that will feature Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy. That series will start out as an episode of season 8 of ARROW serving as a backdoor pilot.

Superman and Lois will have its own pilot and this marks the first iconic superhero to make it to a regular series. That iconic superhero being Superman. Now if we can get Batman in on it then we will have the Justice League!

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more 411 on this exciting entry in The CW DC Universe. Up, up and away!!!
