Well, I was sleeping last night because I had to get up early for work but it looks like the only good thing about the football game last night, except if you are a Patriot’s fan, was that the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was unleashed during it. If you’re a super fan like me then you should be excited. Check it out below!
The plot is still being kept under wraps but we have a lot more new footage to feast our eyes at! Returning key cast members include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo and Billie Lourd. New additions include Naomi Ackie (Doctor Who), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings), and Keri Russell (The Americans). Veteran icons Mark Hamill and Billy Dee Williams (who I saw live at NYCC!) return as well along with the late, great Carrie Fisher who will be in the film by way of older footage.
J.J. Abrams returns to helm the final film which will not only close out this last trilogy but it will also be a culmination of the entire 9 film span so he had a lofty goal for sure. I have been there since the beginning in 1977 so word haven’t been created yet to explain how excited I am. To see it end will surely be bittersweet but I’m excited for the future as well and what new adventures the franchise will bring. Can you say The Mandalorian?!
The finale hits theaters on December 20th. Enough talking now. Watch it below!
