Lionsgate has released a new, second trailer for director Roland Emmerich’s upcoming WWII epic MIDWAY which chronicles one of the biggest battles of the last great war and was a sudsequent turining point in the war.
Based on the true story of the Battle of Midway, a turning point in the Pacific theater of World War II, the film chronicles the heroic and harrowing exploits of the soldiers and aviators who achieved the unbelievable to turn the tide of the war.

The film boasts a sensational international cast that includes Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) as Admiral Edwin Layton, Luke Evans (The Alienist, Beauty and the Beast) as Commander Wade McClusky, Woody Harrelson (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as Admiral Chester Nimitz, Mandy Moore (This Is Us) and Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), and co-stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle), Dennis Quaid (Emmerich’s The Day After Tomorrow), Keean Johnson (Alita: BVattle Angel) and Tadanobu Asano (Thor, 47 Ronin).
Judging from the first trailer and this new one, it looks epic on a grand scale and even though there’s a lot of CGI, it still looks riveting and action-packed. The film was penned by Colony’s Wes Tooke and it takes oof in theaters nationwide on November 8th. Check out the new promo in the player below!
