Martial Arts Phenom Marrese Crump Joins Michael Jai White for SUDDEN DEATH 2 AKA WELCOME TO SUDDEN DEATH!

We have some more details on Universal’s new Sudden Death which stars action and martial arts superstar Michael Jai White And now with word from Movie Hole, we officially have confirmation that it is indeed a sequel to JCVD’s action-thriller. I had a feeling that earlier reports were false when it was said it was a reboot and now we know that it is part of Universal’s long line of DTV sequels.

Even better news is that martial arts wizard Marrese Crump (The Protector 2) is part of the production as well! Crump joins White and comic Gary Owen for the sequel which is as of now being called Welcome To Sudden Death.

We as Action fans can only hope that White and Crump will throw down in the sequel and I’m pretty sure that’s a safe bet. Given that both men are involved.

I for one enjoy these DTV sequels and if it’s like Hard Target 2 with Scott Adkins then we will surely be entertained. It’s best to not compare these films to the originals and treat them as their own entity. I’m a firm believer that Michael Jai White is like a Ninja. Insert him into anything and he elevates the film.

Production is said to finish up on September 4th and Griff Furst And Kim Todd are serving as producers for 1440 Entertainment and Universal Home Entertainment. Dallas Jackson is helming the movie.
