Former UFC champ and current WWE superstar Ronda Rousey is getting back into the acting ring as she will step into a recurring role in FOX’s hit drama series 9-1-1. The news comes via Deadline who dropped the details yesterday and the 411 is Rousey will play a tough as nails firefighter.
Per Deadline: “Ronda Rousey will play Lena Bosko, a stoic and fearless member of the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 136 who leaps into action to save lives when a disaster hits.“
As season 3 commences, Rousey’s skills will be put to the ultimate test when a Tsunami ravages Santa Monica forcing these heroic first responders to break into action to save innocent lives across the city.
Ever since exiting the UFC, Rousey has been putting her action chops to use as she has appeared in Furious 7 in a minor role and co-starred along with Mark Wahlberg and Iko Uwais in director Peter Berg’s Mile 22. Rousey has been a force to be reckon with in the WWE as well and it looks likme she will be riding the fire engine for a while.
The third season of 9-1-1 debuts this fall on September 23rd at 8/7c. Check out the teaser trailer below!
