David Leitch is sitting in the driver’s seat this weekend as the much talked about Fast And Furious spin-off Hobbs And Shaw finally hits theaters todat but the action master is currently ongoing with his future action projects with one being a new venture that he will be producing. The action spec is titled Versus and Universal Pictures has recently acquited the film which will see Leitch producing along with Kelly McCormick via their 87North Productions Banner.

The writinf team of Alex Litvak & Michael Finch (Predators) has been tasked with penning the script which is seen as “high-concept international thriller that has a badass Running Man meets Bloodsport vibe” per Deadline which broke the exclusive news yesterday. Litvak and Finch have also the film Medievel coming down the road and is also writing the Masters Of The Universe reboot. Litvak’s also brought us The Three Musketeers and Finch penned American Assassin. They will also serve as executive producers on the film.

Leitch, of course, is known for co-directing the original John Wick film before branching out to do Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and this weekend’s newest action offering Hobbs And Shaw. Leitch will also be helming the video game adaptation of The Division which stars Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal for Netflix.
