Last year, the award winning action short film The Proposal officially ushered in a new martial arts action hero in Marc Natoli, the Powerhouse from Down Under. The 12 minute film was loaded with gritty, brutal fight scenes and when viewed, all I though about was I hope there’s a feature length version coming out of this amazing throwback proof of concept.

Well, our wish has been granted as filmmaker John Fallon, who served as producer and writer on the project, has just announced that the full length movie titled Mason Stone:The Proposal is officially being shopped around as we speak!

In his post, Fallon stated, Also acting as a proof of concept – one sentence that we’ve heard a lot is “When’s the feature version?” Well, it’s pretty much ready to go. Yes, The Proposal feature is presently in the works, now named MASON STONE: THE PROPOSAL. And its journey will be begin at the 37 South film Market. To request a meeting, send us an e-mail HERE.

The full length feature film will reunite Natoli, who is also a producer on the project, and Fallon with the short’s Director Ben Whimpey along with producer Antonio Raiola. Fallon also mentioned that newcomers to the project including cast and more would be “announced to the public in due time.”

I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to review the short film and my opinion was that “The Proposal packs a massive punch in 12 minutes!” When one watched the movie, the short film proof of concept is clearly a love letter to the 80’s and 90’s action films that we all know and love.

The Proposal won Best Action Film at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival which was well deserved.

I had the great opportunity to interview Marc Natoli at the time and I asked him about turning the film into a longer version. Natoli replied: “Haha! That’s another thing. We’ll have to see what happens. John and myself do have something else in the works action wise though. It’s called STORM.” For the full interview with Marc, click here!

Mason Storm: The Propisal will start being shopped around at 37 South Film Market And with all theses key players involved, expect maximum interest in this one. Stay tuned and keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come with Mason Storm!

In the meantime, check out the high impact footage from the 12 minute action short, which I’m quoted in by the way, below!
