One of the biggest panels at last month’s SDCC was certainly the Marvel Studios where head master Kevin Feige announced some pretty stellar films for Phase IV Of The MCU.
During the panel, Feige announced The Eternals as well as Thor: Love And Thunder, Black Widow, and the highly anticipated Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings which will star Simu Liu as the titular martial arts superhero.
That adaptation will be helmed by Daniel Deston Cretten And we now have official confirmation that the film will begin production this month in Australia according to Collider.com although it won’t be released until February 21st of 2021.
In addition to Shang-Chi, Australia will also host production for Thor: Love And Thunder which is set to film in March of next year in the Land Down Under and that film which reunites Natalie Portman, who will now play the female Thor, and Chris Hemsworth. It will certainly be interesting to see how the MCU handles Hemsworth who was last seen in Avengers: Endgame tagging along with the Guardians Of The Galaxy.
As an action and martial arts fanatic, I am most excited to see Shang-Chi on the big screen and let’s hope he gets initiated into the Avengers who will surely be getting a makeover of new characters. Being the MCU’s first martial arts hero, he definitely has a lot to live up to on the big screen.
